In his 13 years as a cinematographer on Australian and International production Ben has dramatically enhanced his gift as director of photography. His early development in commercials, short films and music videos improved Ben’s willingness to experiment which were rewarded with numerous national awards for cinematography; culminating in a nomination at the American Society of Cinematographers annual awards and Australian Cinematographer of the Year for the Stephen King mini series ‘Salem’s Lot’.

The move to drama was logical for Ben and he discovered a love for narrative driven photography in the short film genre. The opportunity to develop his creative spirit and time/people management skills were further developed through the weekly rigours that cable television offered.

Ben has shot over 80 hours of drama, more recently completing work on ‘The Company’ a 6-hour miniseries for Producers Ridley Scott, Tony Scott and John Calley and directed by Mikael Salomon.
